About the Director
Born to Swedish missionaries and raised in Tunisia and Palestine, André Gustafson began his visual storytelling journey as a photojournalist in Nepal and India. With academic studies in anthropology and psychology, he later transitioned into directing commercial films, working with both Scandinavian and international brands.
Three years ago, he began realizing his lifelong dream of making narrative films. Inspired by a true story, this vision has evolved into his first feature film — The Father’s Shadow — currently in production and set for completion by the end of 2025.
